Treasure Pest Co.

Privacy Policy

The plain-English version of what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Effective date: October 8, 2026

Who we are

Treasure Pest, Inc., doing business as Treasure Pest ("Treasure Pest," "we," "us," or "our"), provides pest control services in Orange County, California.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit treasurepest.com, request information, book or receive services, or communicate with us by phone, text message, email, or other channels.

This policy describes our privacy practices. It does not, by itself, authorize promotional text messages, recorded calls, or other activities that require separate consent.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect the following categories of information:

Contact information:

Your name, email address, telephone number, service address, and billing address.

Property and service information:

Property size and characteristics, pest concerns, inspection findings, treatment history, service preferences, appointment details, and instructions necessary to access or service your property. Access instructions may include gate codes or information about pets.

Communications:

Messages, inquiries, feedback, complaints, and other information you provide through forms, email, text messages, or telephone conversations. When call recording or transcription is enabled, we also collect recordings or transcripts as described below.

Account, transaction, and payment information:

Quotes, service agreements, invoices, payment status, recurring-service selections, and transaction records. Payment processors handle payment credentials. Our business systems may receive limited payment information, such as a payment token, card brand, or last four digits; we do not store full payment card numbers in our own systems.

Website and advertising information:

IP address, browser and device information, cookie or similar identifiers, referring pages, pages visited, and interactions with our website and advertising, depending on the technologies enabled.

Communication preferences and consent records:

Your choices concerning email, text messages, and other communications, including records of consent and requests to unsubscribe.

Please provide only information reasonably necessary for your inquiry or service. Avoid sending sensitive medical information, full payment card details, passwords, or government identification numbers through ordinary email, text messages, or website inquiry forms.

2. Where information comes from

We collect information:

  • Directly from you when you contact us, complete a form, book services, sign an agreement, or make a payment.
  • During inspections, treatments, and other service interactions.
  • Automatically through website and advertising technologies when enabled.
  • From service providers supporting payments, scheduling, communications, website operations, and related business functions.
  • From advertising platforms when you submit a lead form or contact us through an advertisement.
  • From people who refer you or arrange service on your behalf, such as a property manager.

A referral or receipt of your telephone number does not, by itself, establish permission to send promotional text messages.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and prepare quotes.
  • Schedule, perform, document, and follow up on services.
  • Manage accounts, agreements, recurring plans, payments, and billing.
  • Communicate about appointments, technician arrivals, service issues, and customer support.
  • Send promotional communications when permitted and, where required, with your consent.
  • Operate and improve our website, communications, and customer experience.
  • Measure advertising performance and support advertising activities described in this policy.
  • Train personnel and review service quality.
  • Protect our systems, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
  • Maintain records and meet applicable legal, tax, insurance, licensing, and regulatory obligations.

4. How we disclose information

We disclose information for the following purposes:

Service providers:

We use providers for website hosting, business software, scheduling, customer records, payments, communications, analytics, and other operational functions. We provide information needed for those functions and apply contractual restrictions where required.

Service coordination:

When you request or authorize work involving another service provider, we may provide information necessary to coordinate that work. Authorization to coordinate a service does not grant that provider permission to use your SMS consent for its own marketing.

Analytics and advertising:

When enabled, the tools described in Section 5 transmit website and advertising information to their providers. Some advertising disclosures may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California privacy law even when no money is exchanged.

Legal, safety, and regulatory purposes:

We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, including to respond to lawful requests, maintain required service records, address claims, or protect people, property, and our business.

Business transactions:

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections. Such a transaction does not itself create new permission for promotional text messages.

At your direction:

We may disclose information when you ask or authorize us to do so.

The SMS-specific restrictions in Section 6 apply to messaging consent and are not overridden by these general disclosure provisions.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Cookies and similar technologies can help websites function, remember information, measure activity, and support advertising.

Our planned analytics and advertising tools are:

  • Meta Pixel.
  • Meta Conversions API.
  • Google Analytics.
  • Google Ads tracking.

When activated, these tools may process website activity, device and browser information, online identifiers, and events such as form submissions or completed bookings, depending on their configuration.

Meta Conversions API can transmit events from our servers rather than only from your browser. Consequently, blocking browser cookies alone may not prevent all server-side advertising disclosures.

Advertising providers may collect information about activity over time and across different websites or services, depending on the tools and settings used.

You can manage cookies through your browser and advertising preferences through the applicable advertising platforms. These settings may not stop every form of data collection or server-side transmission.

Current browser-signal handling: We have not yet implemented automated responses to Global Privacy Control or legacy Do Not Track signals. You may contact us about privacy preferences using the details below.

6. Text messages

Treasure Pest offers service-related text messages, such as appointment confirmations and reminders, technician arrival updates, and customer-support communications. We also offer occasional promotional messages to people who separately agree to receive them.

Service-related SMS permission and promotional SMS permission are separate. Agreeing to receive appointment messages does not automatically enroll you in promotional texts. Consent to promotional messages is not a condition of purchasing services.

Message frequency varies based on your appointments, interactions, and the messaging programs you join. Message and data rates may apply.

An SMS opt-out will not be treated as permission to continue sending service texts through the same program. We can coordinate necessary service communications through another available channel.

We do not sell or share mobile telephone information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not provided to third parties for their own marketing or used as authorization for another business to text you.

We may provide messaging information to providers that operate and support our messaging program on our behalf, subject to applicable restrictions. Disclosures required by law may also occur.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Email preferences

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from promotional email does not necessarily stop non-promotional emails concerning requested services, appointments, transactions, or important account information.

8. Telephone calls and AI-assisted communications

We use or may enable automated or AI-assisted tools to answer inquiries, collect service details, help schedule appointments, and support customer service.

When recording or transcription is enabled, we provide the required notice and obtain any required consent before recording or transcribing. Information may be processed by providers supporting our telephone and AI systems.

Recordings and transcripts may be used for scheduling, customer support, quality review, training, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping.

If you prefer not to use an AI-assisted interaction or do not want a call recorded, tell us. You may also contact us by email to request another way to communicate. Human assistance may require a callback.

9. How long we retain information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Retention depends on the information involved and factors such as:

  • Whether you have an active service relationship with us.
  • Applicable tax, insurance, licensing, service-documentation, and other recordkeeping requirements.
  • The need to document consent and honor opt-out requests.
  • Outstanding payments, complaints, claims, or legal holds.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and dispute-resolution needs.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable requirements and ordinary backup-management processes. Limited suppression records may be retained to help prevent sending messages after an opt-out.

10. Information security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle.

No website, communication method, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Privacy requests and California residents

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to ask questions about our practices.

Depending on the law applicable to Treasure Pest and your circumstances, you may also have rights to know about our collection and disclosures, obtain a copy of information, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal treatment when exercising privacy rights.

We will assess and respond to requests under applicable law. Some information may need to be retained to complete requested services, meet recordkeeping obligations, protect security, or establish or defend legal claims.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to appropriate verification. We do not require identity verification for an opt-out request where applicable law prohibits it.

Submit requests to:

Please explain your request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

12. Children's information

Our services and website are intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 16.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Third-party services and links

Our website and communications may link to third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not control.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy on our website and update its effective date.

Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making relevant changes. Publishing an updated policy does not, by itself, provide consent for activities that require a separate choice.
